How do I start using Escribe services?
Please call 0870-243-1108. Escribe will set you up as a Client in the system. The steps to use the system are self-explanatory, but we will email a quick easy to use step-by-step instruction.

How can I test Escribe services?
Please call 0870-243-1108. Within reason, we offer one week of free services for any new clients.

Are there any pre-conditions or commitments to use Escribe services?
There is no subscription to pay, no minimum volumes to agree. The service can be used as and when you need it.

Are there any restrictions on the number of users who can use the system?
There are no restrictions on the number of users per client.

How can we set up new users?
There will be a nominated person within your organisation, who will be set up as the user administrator for your organisation. The administrator will set up new users and delete users.

How much does it cost to use Escribe services?
Please call 0870-243-1108. We offer four different turnaround services with associated pricing. On an average, the prices will be 50% cheaper or better than equivalent services.

Do we get volume discounts?
We offer volume discounts to our regular customers. Please call 0870-243-1108 on our alternate pricing models.

What are the technical requirements to use the services?
The platform is based on a combination of digital voice and Internet technology. You need a digital Dictaphone and a PC with internet access. We recommend broadband technology for speedy transmission and receipt of voice and document files.

Digital Dictaphone: Escribe services work with all the leading brands of digital Dictaphones.

Computer: We recommend the following minimum configuration for your PC - Microsoft Windows* 98/98SE/ME/2000/XP, Intel** Pentium II 300 Mhz MMX or higher, HDD 70MB or more, Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 or 100% compatible sound card, USB port, Microsoft IE 5.0 or later.

How secure is the information?
All files uploaded and downloaded to Escribe server are encrypted. The server itself is in a secure facility managed by NTT/Verio. More details on the physical security are available on www.verio.co.uk/products. The servers are behind the firewall, using CA Trust firewall.

How do I submit files for transcription?
Voice files are submitted using web-based Escribe software platform. The steps are easy and self-explanatory, but we will email a quick easy to use step-by-step instruction.

How do I know that Escribe has received my submission?
You can track the progress of your file all the way from submission, receipt of files by Escribe, transcription and QA process, and finally return of the output files.

How do I get my transcribed files back?
You can set up the user to receive the transcribed files back as an email attachment. alternatively you can set up the user to download it from the Escribe server.
